Poetry Bracket Challenge

The poems that made it to the final four in my bracket include:
Cartoon Physics, Part I vs. En la Calle San Sebastian
and
Words Inside of Words vs. Lake Echo, Dear
Cartoon Physics, Part I and Words Inside of Words play against each other in the championship round.. It's a close game, but in the end, Words Inside of Words in the winner!!
Here is a link to the poem that won the championship. Words Inside of Words was the best animated poem I found on the website. It was very creative, interesting, and visually appealing. I lost interest in most of the poems I watched and read, but this one kept my attention. It was cool the way the author took away parts of words to create other words as the poem continued. The art was awesome, and fun to watch. Words Inside of Words will receive a championship ring and a huge trophy. Thanks for playing, authors!

Three Minute Fiction

http://www.npr.org/2011/03/17/134634011/why-im-here

Of all the stories I read on the NPR, website, the one I enjoyed most was called "Why I'm Here." I thought it was a really cool way for the girl to portray her emotions. She talked about her Ma's life and everything that her Ma did, and at the end, it all tied in to how she felt throughout the whole time. She had cool references to her feelings about her husband who was a locksmith, and how she had 20 keys because she always wanted to be able to get back in.

Kehinde Wiley

Kehinde Wiley is clearly a talented artist with an awesome idea for his work. It speaks to me in the way that he flawlessly combines culture with fashion and power. I like that he was given the opportunity to paint famous people.

Banksy

1. Banksy's art is very interesting and thought provoking. They are unusual, which makes them even more cool. They might be making fun of society, and Banksy takes a different approach to art than most artists.
2. I think graffiti is art, because it is an expression of the artists' emotion, and it takes artistic skill. I don't necessarily think it is right or should be allowed, but it's art in my mind.
3. I think it's pretty important to let the public see your art. It's a way for others to see what you were thinking, and it definitely portrays talent.
